About the event
Equity means so much more than diversity. This workshop will help you find language and meaning for equity to drive your mission. The work begins in the boardroom, and that's where this interactive workshop will begin.
To ensure that we have shared language, the workshop will begin with understanding the board's role in achieving your mission. We will briefly discuss how the three levels of work by individual board members help drive equity in your mission, and then explore how to put that role into action to achieve greater mission impact.
Participants will leave this workshop with an understanding of:
👉 What the board's fiduciary responsibility looks like in action
👉 How to recruit board members for mission and equity values
👉Ways to bring community voice into the room for equitable decision making
